We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic apprentice, with good communication and interpersonal skills, to join the Temporary Accommodation Team.
The main focus of the role will be to assist in the delivery of services to homeless applicants that have been placed into temporary accommodation. You will provide advice and guidance to customers on a range of housing issues including housing options; social housing; homelessness and private sector housing options, in order to address clients’ housing needs following suitable knowledge and experience gained.
You will develop a working knowledge of housing and the law and legislation that applies and you will be trained and supported to develop the knowledge and skills required for use of the Council’s Housing ICT software packages and systems such as Locata and Academy.
For Level 3 Apprentice’s - The Business Administrator Apprenticeship is a two year programme incorporating real work experience and learning, to gain the knowledge and development of skills and behaviours to successfully complete the programme. This apprenticeship involves 12 – 18 months on the job development, followed by an end point assessment consisting of a knowledge test, a presentation on the project completed; and a discussion on the portfolio of learning and development produced during the apprenticeship. A grading of either Pass or Distinction is achievable.
Ideally you will have good communication and interpersonal skills, combined with competent IT skills, accurate data entry along with a good attention to detail. However we are happy to support you to reach those goals if you are highly motivated and have the desire to learn and succeed.
