Due to an internal promotion we are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join our accountancy team supporting the People directorate.
The role entails undertaking financial reconciliations, transactional processing and supporting the production of management information. The successful candidate would be expected to contribute to improvements with our internal processes and procedures which we are constantly looking to improve.
This position requires the candidate to work well as part of a team in order to meet strict deadlines, but maintain a high degree of accuracy along with excellent communication skills.
The role is a development role and provides the opportunity for continued learning through a supported qualification programme and on the job training working with a rapidly changing and complex service areas.
Applicants should have at least five GCSEs at grade C and above including Maths and English and will be required to demonstrate that they are computer literate with a strong emphasis on Excel.
