Lancaster City Council are currently recruiting to a number of exciting new posts to work at award winning Salt Ayre Leisure Centre. We need highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our great team.
Salt Ayre Leisure Centre has the latest fitness and training equipment, an indoor adventure play area and indoor and outdoor climbing facilities. Not to mention an immersive spinning studio and dedicated training zone.
You will be responsible for the delivery of the centre’s fitness programme and assisting users of the fitness facilities to meet their goals. With a recognised Health & Fitness Instructors Qualification you will provide induction and instruction to customers and will be able to devise personal fitness programmes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative are essential. The ability to deliver group exercise classes is also essential
This post is permanent. Your hours of work will be 10.5 hours per week, working Tuesday and Sunday. This post is based at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre.
An enhanced clearance with the Disclosure and Barring Service is essential.
Earlier this year Lancaster City Council unanimously declared a climate emergency and will therefore work towards reducing carbon emissions to net-zero by 2030. As part of this role, you will be expected to participate and work towards reducing carbon emissions.
