This is an exciting opportunity to join the Council’s busy Development Management team as a Principal Planning Officer. The post will be based at The Forum in Towcester.
The Council has a Development Plan and is seeing large levels of housing delivery and employment growth. The district includes the iconic venue of Silverstone Circuit, two market towns and the edge of Northampton all of which are growing in different ways.
The District also form part of the emerging Oxford to Cambridge Corridor and has a great track record of supporting high-quality housing schemes, urban renewal and sensitivity to historic character as new places are forged.
Not only is the Council proud of its emphasis on achieving high-quality design and timely decisions, but we are always looking to improve the ways to process applications to provide an efficient and value for money planning service.
