The Council is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic proactive sales professional on a part-time basis to join its dedicated sales team. The successful candidate will join the highly effective team selling Fit&Well memberships and Swim School memberships primarily at The John Warner Sports Centre in Hoddesdon, as well as The Laura Trott Leisure Centre in Cheshunt. Main responsibilities will include:

  • Selling Fitness and Swim memberships, according to monthly sales targets
  • Generating sales leads both in the leisure centres and at local outreach events
  • Providing professional customer service
  • Supporting the Fitness and Sales Manager and Sales Supervisor in developing the business
  • Handling phone, web, and in person sale enquiries
  • Working with our prospecting management system (Gymsales)

The successful applicant will ideally have a sales background in the leisure industry or in business to business (B2B) sales or business to customer (B2C) sales in other sectors. Applications will also be considered from people who have a strong customer service background without direct sales experience and ideally from a leisure environment. Candidates must have GCSE qualifications in Maths & English or equivalent, have excellent communication skills and be computer literate.
