Based at The Atkinson, part-time 5 hours per week (0.14 fte)

Description of the Customer Assistant role:

Customer Assistants are the first point of welcome and information for visitors to The Atkinson; responsible for delivering the highest standards of customer service and customer care for audiences, patrons and customers across all aspects of The Atkinson’s work. Contracted hours are per week, according to weekly rotas, with the regular possibility of additional hours to meet the operational needs of a busy Arts programme. This role will involve evening work in The Atkinson’s Theatre and Studio venues either as an usher and/or on the bar in either venue. Events can be during the week, at weekends and in the evening. The Customer Assistant role does also involve invigilating The Atkinson’s Museum and Gallery exhibitions during the day, full training will be provided.

Job requirements: You will have a friendly and approachable manner to maintain a high level of customer service at all times with all our visitors and users. You will be interested in and enthusiastic about all aspects of The Atkinson’s programmes.  

Customer Assistants must be over 18 as they may be required to serve alcohol. You will be expected to attend regular briefing and training sessions to keep up to date with developments in The Atkinson’s programmes and service. Health & Safety training together with Fire Evacuation training is mandatory.
