More Information

Relief Action Officer

In Northampton, we have expanded and restructured our Housing Advice and Options Service in order to improve our effectiveness in preventing homelessness and reducing the use and cost of temporary accommodation

We are now looking to appoint two Relief Action Officers who will work closely and proactively with homeless families and vulnerable people to ensure that they have a ‘live’ housing application, they are actively considering all of their housing options and they spend as little time as possible in temporary accommodation.

Supported by a team of specialist homelessness assessment officers, the Relief Action Officers will work with all homeless households to remove any barriers to their rehousing and review and update their personalised housing plans.

To meet the requirements of this exciting role, you will be outcome focused, have excellent interpersonal skills and work well under pressure. You will be an adept  problem solver, thrive in a team and have a passion for multi-agency working.

If you are excited by the prospect of working in a role in which you can make a real and lasting difference to people’s lives, we would be delighted to hear from you.
