We are looking to appoint a School Caretaker to join our friendly, busy and dedicated support team.  The main responsibilities of the role will be to provide flexible support to the school regarding the management, operation, maintenance and security of the school premises, ensuring a safe environment. This includes undertaking regular helath and safety compliance checks. For a full Job description please see the attached.

 The hours of work for the post will be 8.00am – 4.15pm, with 60 minutes for lunch. The role is for 52 weeks a year. 

 To be considered for this role the following skills and experience are desirable:

  • Able to carry out general repairs without guidance
  • Ability to lift and carry items
  • DIY skills
  • School Health and Safety knowledge
  • Knowledge of security systems
  • Can work using own initiative
  • A friendly, professional manner.

Pre–employment medical check
As a condition of the Offer of Employment, the successful applicant will be asked to complete an Occupational Health questionnaire from which our Occupational Health Advisor will assess your medical suitability to do the job. You may be required to attend a medical examination.
