At Surrey, our vision is to help create better lives, a better place and a county where no-one is left behind.
To deliver the vision we are committed to changing and radically improving the council's culture, approach and performance, putting residents' current and future needs first.
About the team

Performance data is a vital part of running a high performing organisation and we strive for excellence in performance management and champion open data.

In this role you will provide leadership and expertise – drawing on both your own and your team's strengths – to drive innovative approaches to performance management and business intelligence. You will work with the council's leadership team to refine a framework for ensuring we've got our eye on the right things to support our ambition to be a high performing council. You'll also work with others across the council – and with partners - to develop and implement systems and processes to provide real insight aligned to business outcomes and the needs of residents.
You will have a proven track-record of leading business intelligence and/or performance management activity within a complex organisation, and know how to embed a culture of high performance. You're a strategic planner, adept at explaining key performance metrics and trends with clarity in a way people understand and have a passion for finding new and interesting ways of presenting insights to stakeholders.
You will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to work at pace, be innovative and have a genuine interest in making a difference and real change for the people of Surrey. You'll have the ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders and the confidence to challenge the status quo.
