ASSET MANAGEMENT SURVEYOR
An opportunity has arisen for a suitably skilled and experienced individual to assist the Asset Management & Parking Services Business Unit with the management of the Council’s land and building assets. This will involve providing a comprehensive surveying service in the management of the maintenance, improvement and renewal of all assets.
The successful applicant will have experience in building surveying activities including site inspections, condition surveys, preparation of specification and tenders and procurement of contractors including project and financial management. The candidate should also demonstrate experience of all legislative requirements and procedures including legionella, fire emergency and access plans.
The successful candidate will support delivering a service to customers within a financially constrained environment to maximise income in either the public or private sector. They will be educated to degree level or equivalent and be able to use the full suite of Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook and Excel.
They should possess good interpersonal and communication skills and a proven ability to work as part of a small team taking ownership of work, outcomes and problem-solving throughout the District. They should be willing to adopt a flexible attitude to work including working weekends, bank holidays and overtime and call out as required.
