More Information

Transportation Engineer

Based in the Strategic Planning & Transportation Team in the Council’s Regeneration & Economy Directorate, the post holder will primarily focus on the preliminary design of highway improvements and other transport schemes. However, the role will also encompass the development of transport policy across all modes of travel, preparing bids for funding, dealing with Public Rights of Way matters, and providing transportation advice to developers.

Applicants should hold an appropriate qualification, preferably to degree level, and have knowledge of transportation issues. An understanding of the principles of the geometric design of highways and experience in the use of AutoCad would be an advantage.

For an informal discussion please contact Andy Miller, Strategic Planning & Transportation Manager on 0121 569 4249.
