The Public Protection Partnership (PPP) is a shared environmental heath, licensing and trading standards service provided for Bracknell Forest, Wokingham and West Berkshire. The PPP delivers a high quality service to some 470,000 reisidents and over 10,000 businesses.
We are looking to recruit two Animal Wardens to work alongside our Response Team and out of hours stray dog contractors. The role is crucial in managing the collection and reuniting of strays across the 3 areas as well as helping resolve nuisance related issues and working with the community to provide education and support. The postholder will be out and about meeting the public and dealing with animals in a variety of settings.
We operate a number of teams focusing on reactive response, enforcement, compliance and projects to meet our service priorities. The Animal Warden has a role to play in all these areas and there are plenty of exciting opportunities to contribute to the success of the activities undertaken by the PPP.

The post offers a free working environment across the PPP areas, but will be based in Theale, West Berkshire.
We are ideally looking to offer the successful candidate the full number of hours advertised above. We may however consider offering less hours than advertised providing they meet the requirements of the role and service which will be determined by the recruiting manager.
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
