This role will provide support to Craven residents experiencing difficulties in their housing situation, or who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
The Support Worker will help them to access, maintain and sustain accommodation in order to prevent homelessness, and achieve and maintain independent living.
Support will be focused on resolving issues relating to benefits, debt, rent arrears, health, drug and alcohol use, along with supporting referrals to employment and training.
You will be based within the Housing Options team, but will do a significant amount of lone working delivering community based support.
We are looking for someone who is flexible, empathetic and resilient with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Though not essential by any means, you have preferably worked with vulnerable clients in a housing or support setting before.
