Market Management Lead

Like all Local Authorities West Berkshire Council is working hard to maximise resources to ensure it can meet the changing demands and expectations of its residents.  We need a market that is fit for now and the future and have created a new Market Management Lead role to ensure we deliver this agenda.

Working across the People Directorate the successful applicant will have the opportunity to make a real impact, shaping services in Adult Social Care, Education, Children’s Social Care and Public Health.  The key objective for this role will be to support the Directorate to successfully develop and implement strategies that will ensure appropriate capacity, access to services and financial sustainability.

A highly motivated self-starter you will have a proven track record in strategic market management, utilising commissioning principles to maximise access and value in related service areas. In addition you will have the ambition and drive to motivate others, be highly persuasive and able to matrix manage within a complex environment. 

This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
