Job Title: Support Officer
Location: Based at Princess Alexander Hospital,Harlow

Salary Range: £18,795 pa progressing to £20,344 pa
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Permanent

Job Duties:

An opportunity has arisen for a Support Officer to provide professional support to the Social work team Specific skills will include:

  • Compiling reports
  • Using software packages such as Microsoft Office and in particular Microsoft Excel
  • Answering telephones and general office duties
  • Uploading data to Social care systems
  • Creating and maintaining spreadsheets and databases
  • Managing referrals and supporting discharges

Please be advised that your office base will be Princess Alexander Hospital Harlow however may be required to work at other Hertfordshire Sites across East and North Herts as and when required. This role is part of an integrated team so you will work closely with the NHS staff.

To improve outcomes for service users, the Integrated Discharge Service supports a 7 day Hospital Discharge service.  The post will be asked to be part of the service-wide rota to provide cover on consecutive Saturdays and Sundays once every eight weeks and will receive days off during the weeks before and after covering weekends. There will be opportunities for you to discuss this at interview if your application is successful.
