Watford is currently undergoing a transformation programme which aims to create a customer-focused, digitally-enabled and commercially-minded organisation of the future.
This small department leads on managing the council’s investments assets and the development on key regeneration sites to meet the councils challenging delivery plans for the future. This will involve working closely with other departments across a range of disciplines, to include members and fellow officers.
The post holder will be overseeing the asset management of Croxley Park. This is one of the council’s key commercial investments, Croxley Park is a leading UK business park and comprises some 500,000sq ft. of offices and 200,000 sq. ft. of industrial space. The role will involve working with our external asset and property managers and will critically involve overseeing the letting strategy of the park and maintaining strong and sustainable income streams as well as overseeing a refurbishment programme of office and industrial accommodation.
What we are looking for:-
We are looking for an individual who can develop an annual business plan in conjunction of our finance team and ensuring its delivery. In addition to the Business Park the role will additionally involve assisting in overseeing the management of the council’s substantial commercial property portfolio which has a present value of £180m and inputting into development opportunities.
