Required for January 2020, we are seeking to appoint a part time (to work Wednesdays and Thursdays), inspirational and talented teacher of Physical Education to join our vibrant and successful department. The post would particularly suit a netball, dance or aerobics specialist.
Results in PE are excellent at the end of key stage 4 and 5. (In 2018 at GCSE 74% achieved 4+grades and 100% achieved 2+, at A level 71% achieved A*-E and 100% achieved A*-E).
Ranelagh is an 11-18 coeducational, Anglican Academy (converter) which is oversubscribed and has an excellent reputation for academic achievement and positive school ethos. The school has had four ‘outstanding’ OFSTED reports, with Grade 1 across all areas, but we are not complacent and as such the provision for professional learning and development is something of which we are all very proud.
Potential candidates may also wish to know that our admissions policy enables the school to prioritise the admission of children of staff recruited to posts in which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.
If you have a very good knowledge and understanding of the subject and you are an excellent teacher looking to develop your career in a supportive and progressive environment, we would welcome an application from you. Opportunities for personal development are excellent. Position is subject to future staffing reviews.
If you are interested in learning more about the position, please contact the Headteacher via the school office, on 01344 421233 or by email, firstname.lastname@example.org from whom an application pack is also available for those responding by post.
Applications will be considered upon receipt.
