Senior Auditor

Package up to £40,300 per annum

North West Leicestershire District Council and Blaby District Council have recently expanded their successful shared internal audit service to welcome Charnwood Borough Council. Critical to the positive expansion of the shared service is an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking Senior Auditor to join our flexible and proactive internal audit team.  This new role will work across all sites, building valuable relationships with officers, senior managers and Councillors.

You will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and adaptable in order to flourish in the demands of this diverse and varied role. You will have a solid background in public sector audit, preferably local government, with experience performing complex audit work to a high standard as well as strong inter-personal skills. Ideally the successful candidate will hold a full CCAB recognised qualification (or CMIIA) however it is more important that we find the right person so we are opening up the vacancy to applicants who are part qualified (CCAB, CIA, AAT will be considered).

In return we offer excellent conditions of service with a benefits package that includes lease car scheme, flexible working hours, generous career average pension scheme, free car parking, training support and annual contribution to one relevant professional membership fee.

For an informal discussion about this new opportunity please contact Lisa Marron, Audit Manager on 01530 454728 or email
