£23,951 per annum for 36 hours per week based at County Hall, Penrhyn Road, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey KT1 2DW. Please note that Surrey County Council's headquarters, where this role is currently based, will be relocating back into Surrey in 2020 to support our Community Vision 2030.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to support Surrey's Local Resilience Forum (LRF). The forum is a partnership of over 40 organisations working together to prepare for incidents and emergencies and support communities at times of crisis. The Forum is chaired by the Chief Fire Officer and is supported by the LRF Business Support Group.

This role, based in the LRF Business Support Group, will support the LRF and the partnership working groups deliver the local resilience agenda. The post holder will report to the Deputy Head of Emergency Management and will be responsible for a number of functions including supporting working group chairs in setting up meetings, distributing agendas and other documents, taking minutes at meetings, organising training sessions and their logistics and managing enquiries from local and national resilience bodies as well supporting chief officers in carrying out their role.

The successful candidate will possess excellent time management and organisational skills and be able to multi-task.
