This is a challenging position within a busy Planning Support team responsible for the initial registration of planning applications. The Support Officer is responsible for the registration of applications, including the production of all acknowledgements, notifications and consultations. In addition, the Planning Support Officer will be dealing with the production of adverts, planning reports and planning decisions. As part of this role, the successful applicant will also be required to cover and support the Planning Appeals Officer, who is responsible for the administration and co-ordination of planning appeals. The ability to work to tight timescales and attention to detail are essential. A professional attitude and excellent communication, administration and customer service skills are required.
