About the role

The Orbis Pensions Administration Service is embarking on a very exciting phase in its service transformation through a program of works encompassing projects, continuous improvement, automation and people development.

Through innovative approaches and considerable energy, we will deliver a modern and digital service with more efficient systems and processes to support our vision of being 'the outstanding provider of exceptional Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) administration'. To be able to achieve our vision, we need to grow our teams.

We're looking for someone who has both the technical expertise to interpret pension legislation but also an effective communication style to ensure key stakeholders are guided and supported through complex pensions issues. The principle purpose of this role is to provide guidance on all legislative and technical aspects of pension regulations to ensure that the Orbis Pension Funds are able to perform their responsibilities. You'll need to make sure that all stakeholders are aware of any regulatory changes and understand how to implement them to ensure compliance.

As well as being up to speed with current pension legislation you'll also need to have your finger on the pulse; scanning at least 3 to 5 years ahead for any proposed future updates to regulations. Just as importantly will be ensuring that others are aware of these changes; updating policy, procedures and process as required.

So, if you have a positive, solution-focused approach and are interested in being part of our transformation journey; driving change and innovation with a relentless focus on improving outcomes we would love to hear from you.

To be shortlisted to interview for this position your application will clearly evidence:

• Educated to degree or equivalent standard (or demonstrable relevant experience)
• Knowledge of pensions legislation and regulatory framework
• Proven experience of final salary pension schemes
• Experience in pensions administration/technical pensions environment

Whilst based out of Kingston, this role will be supporting teams and clients across sites in both Kingston and Lewes, ensuring the successful delivery of services to six LGPS funds, therefore some travel will be required. The expected outcome is that this role will help make a material contribution to the technical understanding of Pension Funds, Scheme Employers and Pensions Staff.
