Planning Enforcement Specialist Grade 9

The Council is committed to protecting the quality of the environment by negotiating compliance with the planning regulations and where appropriate take robust and prompt planning enforcement action. With responsibility for a wide range of cases, you’ll investigate breaches of planning control, write expediency reports and make recommendations on appropriate enforcement action. There will be opportunities to draft and serve notices, participate in planning appeals and present evidence in court.
Excellent communication skills and customer focused approach required. In return, we can offer you an excellent opportunity to develop your career dealing with varied planning enforcement issues and in a supportive team environment. A full UK driving licence is essential.
