This department is responsible for housing, communities and improving the lives of local residents.  This includes landlord services and estate management, planning, refurbishment, and advice and support to help maintain healthy and safe homes.

A significant part of our work is focused on creating stronger communities, by working together with local residents on recovery following the Grenfell tragedy. 

In response to London’s affordable homes crisis, we are committed to building more social housing to help people on lower incomes to live, work, and raise their families in the borough. Our housing team also work closely with affordable housing providers and other agencies to manage homelessness, and give support to older residents to live independently

The Role:

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) is seeking an experienced professional with extensive experience in addressing and resolving anti-social behaviour (ASB), especially within a social housing context and within a local authority.

Working alongside the Neighbourhood Teams, RBKC’s Community Safety Team and Police to ensure that anti-social behaviour is being resolved swiftly for RBKC residents.

You will be responsible for delivering against the RBKC’s Anti-social Behaviour Policy and delivering service improvements. You will be implementing new initiatives to improve how we work with key partners and residents in increasing safety across RBKC’s housing stock.

You will be a high performer, self-motivated and highly skilled in maintaining and building working relationships with all relevant teams and services.

You will provide a concentrated focus on improving performance within ASB case management

About You:

You will have excellent communication skills, be a team player and a demonstrable commitment to delivering high quality services to our residents.         

With extensive experience of managing anti-social behaviour in a social housing context and detailed knowledge of housing and anti-social behaviour related legislation and best practice.

Able to demonstrate excellent service improvement delivery and building effective partnerships with relevant agencies such as Police, social services, mental health, community safety.

Previous experience of working in a local authority, a good understanding of local authorities’ obligations and working with local Councillors and MPs.

Role Requirements:

With strong problem solving and organisational skills, you will support the Neighbourhood Services Teams to manage ASB cases effectively and take the lead on high profile ASB cases. You will also represent RBKC Housing Management at key partnership groups.

Develop and drive a performance culture with a focus on delivering excellent customer services to residents when addressing ASB and lead by example for other Council services and social housing landlords.
