Seafront Operations Manager

The Seafront of Weston-super-Mare is a key asset for North Somerset Council attracting millions of visitors to the town each year.  Working within the Leisure, Venues, Seafront and Events Service the postholder will play a key role in the daily operation and strategic development of the Seafront in Weston-super-Mare as well as providing operational support and advice to events.


The postholder will be responsible for the safe operation of the seafront and beach areas through the seafront rangers’ team ensuring the presentation of areas and responding to environmental risks.  The Seafront Operations Manager is also responsible for securing concessions and attractions to operate from the seafronts in order to maximise income streams, improve the sea front experience and support the towns regeneration ambitions.


The postholder also manages the operations for car parking on Weston-super-Mare’s seafront to maximise revenue.  This includes the day to day safe and efficient operations as well as ensuring arrangements are in place for large scale event parking operations.


The post holder will need to have strong communication, organisational and leadership   skills as well being able to problem solve and use judgement effectively.
