More about the role:

The Registration Service plays a key role in the lives of our residents by registering life events and conducting ceremonies. We’re a small department committed to delivering the registration of life events in line with statutory requirements while providing customers with excellent customer care and meeting their expectations. You’ll find your greatness as you play your part in our customers’ lives at significant times.


In this role you will initially register marriages at approved venues and local religious buildings and will progress to conducting ceremonies in due course. You will ensure the safe custody of registers at all times. 


As this is a casual contract this role will be undertaken as and when required to register or conduct ceremonies both during the week and at weekends, especially during school holiday periods in the summer months. 


To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a team player with a flexible approach. It is essential that you have good handwriting and an accurate eye for detail. Educated to GCSE AS level or other level 3 qualification, you’ll bring experience to a busy, customer-facing role with a skill for dealing with people at emotional times.
