Practice Lead - Children In Care

Do you have a passion to make a difference to the lives of children in care?

We are interested in hearing from current frontline managers or experienced Social Workers who wish to progress into management and would like to join our Children in Care and Care Leavers Team here at Halton as a Practice Lead.

The team is responsible for ensuring that all children in care and care leavers are supported to achieve positive outcomes and support them in planning to build their lives as young adults ready to leave care and live independently. The team is also responsible for finding permanent families for those children who cannot live within their birth family.

Within the Practice Lead role, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting frontline Social Workers within the team. This will include chairing meetings, providing supervision, quality assuring Assessments and Reports and assessing ASYE Social Workers.

For the successful candidate we offer a comprehensive management training package with the opportunity for progression and continued professional development. We have strong links to our local universities and we offer specialist training and membership of Research in Practice.

To apply for this post you must be an experienced Social Worker or Social Work Manager, along with knowledge and understanding of working with children in care and care leavers and our key partners as a corporate parent. In addition, this post is subject to Enhanced DBS Disclosure and HCPC Registration.
