At Hertfordshire County Council, we are deeply committed to giving young people the best start in life. As such, our targeted youth service, YC Hertfordshire, is a vital component in the development and wellbeing of many young people, particularly those who are going through challenges in their home life, education or social environment. This service enables young people to succeed by providing high quality informal education opportunities to promote their personal and social development. Underpinned by the concepts of targeted prevention and early intervention in order to deliver help to young people at the earliest possibility – thereby reducing the need for costly specialist intervention at a later date.

We have a number of rewarding opportunities for energetic, creative and motivated individuals to join us and make a tangible difference to at risk and vulnerable young people’s lives. With the full support of experienced colleagues who share your passion for helping young people develop the skills and confidence they will need to make the successful transition into adulthood, you will deliver programmes that will teach them new skills, develop their self-esteem, and enhance their employability.
