Grounds Maintenance Deputy Crew Leader

Band D, £21,589 - £24,799 (+0.75 hpw plain time overtime)

Hours of work are 37 hours per week – voluntary overtime is also available


Based at our Green Flag Park in Coalville, Leicestershire, but working all over the North West Leicestershire District, you will join the team as a Deputy Crew Leader within the council’s Grounds Maintenance Team. 

The ideal candidate will have the ability to supervise a small team and experience of using a wide range of horticultural machinery and equipment. You will also have knowledge/experience in a wide range of Grounds Maintenance operations such as sports turf maintenance, hard and soft landscaping - however, training can be given to increase your skill levels if needed. 

You must work well within a team, be reliable and flexible when needed, have good communication skills in dealing with customers, and a full driving licence. 

The successful candidate will enjoy excellent terms and conditions with good career prospects, as well as having the opportunity to join local government pension scheme.
