About the job

This is an exciting opportunity to join Hillingdon’s School Placement and Admissions team for a fixed one year period.

The team provides school placements for statutory school aged pupils including detailed case work for pupils who are 'hard to place'.

We are currently looking for someone to join our team to support with service delivery over the next 12 month period. You will provide high quality, customer focused, information and expert advice to schools and parents regarding all aspects of school admissions. You will process applications and make admissions in accordance with published rules and policies and play a key role in offering school places.

About the person

The ideal candidate will have experience of school admissions. We are looking for an organised, self-motivated and flexible candidate with excellent administrative and IT skills, including Word and Excel.

This is a very busy and challenging role that requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to remain calm and accurate under pressure. You should be able to work within a team and be able to communicate with young people, parents and schools.

By utilising your current skills and flexible attitude, you will be able to complete complex and routine tasks with minimal supervision.

You will have the ability to manage high volumes of work effectively and accurately, and to deal with routine matters on your own initiative within deadlines.
