Littlehampton Town Council is looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to fulfil the extensive role of Community Resources Officer to manage, co-ordinate, develop and promote community activities, initiatives, and services together with fostering good community relations.
The post holder will be in a varied and high paced job environment managing the Town Council’s allotments, administering the Grants and Service Funding Agreements, and supporting the Assistant Town Clerk in the management of key contracts of services, including the Town Council’s Youth Service Contract, Christmas Lighting and Community Assets.
The successful applicant will have extensive experience of project management, developing and maintaining positive relationships with community groups, stakeholders, and partners as well as experience in obtaining external funding. Knowledge of Democratic Services and the planning system is also essential as the role includes supporting the Council’s Planning and Transportation and Community Resources Committees.
You will need to be organised, flexible, able to multi-task and respond well to changing priorities with excellent time management skills. You must also be able to work on your own initiative and be committed to team working. You will need excellent communication skills and be confident assisting members of the public.
