Lancaster City Council is recruiting into an exciting post to work at the award-winning Salt Ayre Leisure Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join an enthusiastic and passionate team at our main reception desk.
The role will be acting as the first line of contact face to face, on the telephone and via email/social media for customers of the centre. You will provide a full front of house service, including but not limited to, taking bookings for birthday parties, swimming and gymnastics enrolments, as well as providing people with a high level of customer service.
These roles are based at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre and the hours of work are:
- 30 hours per week, working on a shift rota basis, including evenings and weekends
- 22 hours per week, working Friday 1:30pm – 9:30pm, Saturday 12.30pm – 7:00pm and Sunday 10.30am – 6:30pm

Please note the Council is currently reviewing its pay and grading structure and the salary may be subject to change.
Earlier this year Lancaster City Council unanimously declared a climate emergency and will therefore work towards reducing carbon emissions to net-zero by 2030. As part of this role, you will be expected to participate and work towards reducing carbon emissions.
