Hackney Learning Trust is recruiting an experienced SEND Contracts Manager. 

This role will be under Local Government Terms and Conditions and the successful post-holder will be expected to work all year round. The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.

London Borough of Hackney’s Education department is known as Hackney Learning Trust (HLT). It provides a range of statutory and traded services to support the education of children, young people and their families in the borough. HLT is part of the Children, Adults & Community Health (CACH) directorate within the Council and works closely with all types of schools and settings in the borough. 

Brief Description SEND Contracts Manager 

To support the SEND Service’s operational management by negotiating, drawing up and procuring a diverse range of contracts with the Service Area’s providers and by establishing and maintaining preferred provider lists and framework contracts to meet the Service Area’s requirements. To provide contract management advice to the SEND Service, ensuring that arrangements are in place for effective contract management. To manage high value and high importance contracts as required to ensure that HLT meets its contractual and statutory obligations for children and young people with SEND. To identify and manage risks that may arise through the operation of the contract and implements robust financial and operational controls.
