Job Brokerage Team Leader - PO3

The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the council’s employment team, which sits within the Employment, Business and Skills directorate. We are seeking a highly motivated and capable individual to join our Employment Team to support the delivery and activity of our Jobs Brokerage.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment, regeneration and economic development. You will have a proven track record in working on successful employment projects, including stakeholder engagement activities, project development and delivery.

In this role, the successful candidate will manage a team of Job Brokerage Officers to deliver a set of outcomes and objectives, working with residents to support them into sustainable employment. Experience of working on funded programmes including ESF, GLA and ESFA would be welcome.

 You will be a confident communicator, with good problem solving skills and the ability to find creative solutions when faced with issues and challenges.  You will have good written skills as you will be regularly asked to write reports, briefings and prepare presentations for senior managers and elected members.
