We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Lead Marketing Officer to join our Economy and Growth team within North East Lincolnshire Council.
The Council has successfully secured a significant amount of funding to deliver projects across Cleethorpes, Grimsby Town Centre, the South Humber Industrial Investment Programme (SHIIP) and the Kasbah on Grimsby Docks, as well as negotiating the Grimsby Town Deal in 2016, which is cited in the UK’s Industrial Strategy as being a pilot for this scheme. Subsequently, the Future High Streets Fund and Stronger Towns Funds have been launched, giving us the opportunity to further support the regeneration of Grimsby Town Centre and beyond.
As a borough, we are entering an exciting phase of redevelopment, and we require an experienced business to business Marketing and Communications officer who is able to create content to drive business investment enquiries in the borough through website, social media, and event/engagement activities.
You will take a leading role in driving forward the marketing of the area to deliver our key strategic outcomes of attracting investment and creating jobs. This exciting and varied role covers a broad range of marketing activity with the opportunity to promote the borough’s unique offering to audiences both locally and internationally. If you are a creative thinker with a positive attitude and have experience of successfully delivering strategic marketing activities then this may be the job for you.
The successful applicant will coordinate and lead on the Economy and Growth marketing and communication programmes, primarily the SHIIP and South Humber brands locally and nationally, as well as the Council’s other brands where required, working closely with the Economy and Growth team, and in liaison with the Communications team, to maximise the opportunity to attract businesses into the borough.
The position is offered as a fixed 2 year post, and the closing date for applications is Sunday 23rd February 2020. It is expected that interviews will be held on 4th March 2020
