Working as a waking nights support worker within our services in Brent. Each customer has autism and/or learning disabilities and individual care requirements. The focus is on them maintaining independent living and achieving social inclusion.
This is loan working through the night. You will still be responsible for support plans and liaising with others that support residence as required. This will include personal care and the safeguarding of vulnerable adults. The customers are predominantly older female, whose are native Gujaratispeaking adults, looking to still be proactively involved in community activities and learning opportunities.
Within this role you will be required to work flexible over a seven-day rota including bank holidays. The rota is 35 hours a week worked over 2 weeks. Each shift is 10 hours. Working 3 nights, 3 nights off, working 4 nights, 4 nights off.
What you`ll need to succeed
You will need to have a positive approach to life and want a role where others gain from what you are doing. You will be driven by seeing customers facing, and overcoming, new challenges on a daily basis. You will need to be bilingual, English and fluent in Gujarati. Previous experience in a similar position is not essential, but you must demonstrate you understand the requirements of providing support to vulnerable adults and have a passion for a career in adult social care.
