Graduate Trainee – Homelessness Prevention & Assessment Officers
Waltham Forest Housing Solutions has created these posts in order to provide a new route into a housing career for highly capable individuals who are keen to develop their learning and experience.
The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate their aptitude for learning and acquiring new skills, an interest in the housing sector and a commitment to excellent customer service delivery.
Trainee Options & Assessment Officers will complete accredited training (Chartered Institute of Hosing – Levels 2 & 3) and a structured internal trainee programme in order to progress in their posts. The first six months will focus on developing experience and understanding of the Options & Assessment Officer role, prior to progressing to basic and then more complex case work.
Successful completion of the trainee programme will mean being able to deliver a comprehensive Housing Advice Options and Homeless Prevention service to residents with housing issues across all tenures and to assess people applying under the relevant homelessness legislation.
