£46,039 - £49,114 inclusive of outer fringe allowance per annum

A vacancy has arisen within the Property Services (Housing) team to be responsible for leading on compliance and managing the mechanical and electrical services team in line with the Business Plan objectives. You will lead on the commercial and contractual aspects of the service, developing and maintaining strong partnering relationship whilst supporting and driving organisational and cultural change to deliver the Council’s mission and values.
Leading and managing a dedicated team, you will set targets for high standards of performance in mechanical and electrical service contracts as well as all aspects of compliance (gas servicing, asbestos management, fire risk assessments, water hygiene and electrical testing). This is a senior level role and you will be required to represent the Council with external contractors, agencies and Members. We are a customer focused organisation and you must also maintain a commitment to their needs at all times.
You will have a good level of experience working at senior level in property services, including the management of staff. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strategic approach to work and the skills to introduce new ideas and working practices.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
