This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with commercial experience to lead on our commercial activities within Income & Awards. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with good attention to detail to work with external organisations to promote our commercial activities.
The successful candidate will report to our Senior Income & Awards Manager and be responsible for 2 intelligence officers. The role will involve marketing, tendering for and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts for the Income & Awards service and will include working collaboratively with our Corporate Fraud Team to meet ongoing contract requirements. The Commercial Officer will be required to liaise internally and externally to develop our commercial activities, as well as with clients, third parties and external organisations to follow contracts through to completion. This will require you to effectively manage your own workload whilst working to tight deadlines.
A broad understanding of Council functions will be beneficial as the role includes working across several Local Authority disciplines.
The position is a fixed term contract and we promote Agile working, so suitable candidates may be either office or home based.
