Surveying Technician (Building Services)
£23,522 - £26,539 inclusive of outer fringe allowance per annum

Our council is going through an exciting time of change. We have developed a new corporate business plan and a whole new approach to customer service where our priority is to put the customer first and offer a consistent ‘one team’ approach in everything we do.
Reporting to the Senior Surveyor (Compliance) you will be responsible for maintaining the current high standards being achieved in the management of the council’s commercial portfolio.
Bringing with you previous experience with day to day management of repairs to property, you will be responsible for ensuring all responsive and planned maintenance task are completed to exacting standard and to required timescales.
Through the Helpdesk, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming maintenance requests and general queries, and will hold a developed understanding of works allocation as well as the ensuring accurate records are maintained through the database.
As part of the Compliance team, you will ensure that all works are carried out in line with all relevant legislation, approved codes of practice and regulations.
The post holder with have a developed level of experience working within a property management area and motivation to progress their career through a structured route would be beneficial.
The post holder will be required to have strong communication skills, an understanding of work prioritisation and a high level of attention to detail.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide technical advice in accurate spoken English is essential for this role.
