Our children deserve the best. In Hillingdon, our Kinship and Permanence Team work hard to ensure that every effort is made for children to live with family members or connected people when they are unable to live with parents. The team completes holistic and child-centred viability assessments, connected person’s assessments and Special Guardianship assessments, and supports connected carers whilst children are placed with them.
When children cannot live within their birth family, the team leads the search for well-matched foster families so that children achieve permanence in a timely way.
Our Kinship and Permanence Team works closely with IROs, psychologists, care providers, the virtual school, Cafcass guardians and other multi-agency professionals to ensure that our children receive the highest level of care to achieve the best possible outcomes.

How will we help you develop as a social worker? • As part of the West London Alliance and West London Teaching Partnership, Hillingdon has a PCF/KSS led training programme to provide all social workers with focused development opportunities.

What we need from you: • You must have a social work qualification
