This post has come about as a valued colleague has chosen to relinquish their SLT responsibilities and become a part-time teacher at Edgbarrow. The Governors therefore wish to appoint a dynamic Assistant Headteacher, with proven leadership and management skills, to join our highly successful Leadership Team. Candidates should want to play a significant role in leading the school, with the capacity to drive school improvement, lead staff and have clear impact on student outcomes. Edgbarrow is fortunate to have an experienced existing team and is therefore able to offer flexibility in the specific responsibilities of the post. This post will provide an ideal opportunity for preparation for Deputy Headship and beyond.
Edgbarrow School takes great pride in how we support new colleagues with an extensive induction programme, strong support for well-being and a welcoming and highly skilled staff body.
Edgbarrow School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. It is essential that all members of staff and volunteers share this commitment. An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for all posts.
If you are interested in joining Edgbarrow School and you have the skills and the qualities required for this post, we would be delighted to hear from you and would warmly welcome candidates who may wish to visit the school.

Employment is with Corvus Learning Trust. As a founder member of the Trust, we are delighted to work with our partner schools and enjoy the support from the central trust team, based here at Edgbarrow.
The trust is very popular and for most posts a large number of applications are received - it is therefore not possible to notify all applicants of the outcome. Please accept that if you have not heard within three weeks of the closing date then, unfortunately, your application has been unsuccessful - in which case we offer our best wishes for the future.
