To carry out general cleaning duties across various facilities located within the Borough including the cleaning of Offices, Kitchens, Toilets (Internal and External), Meeting Rooms, Chapels and Sports Facilities. To ensure the cleaning of the interior and exterior of the buildings are to a high standard of cleanliness. Cleaning tasks to include however are not limited to cleaning toilets facilities, mopping floors, cleaning desks, high and low level dusting, cleaning and polishing fixtures and fittings, hoovering, changing bins, unblocking toilets, replacing toilet rolls, hand towels and soap as required. The Post holder will be responsible for ensuring the toilet facilities and kitchens are fit for use and that any floods or blockages are cleared in a timely manner. The Post holder will liaise with the Facilities Officer to report any repairs and maintenance issues including any Health and Safety concerns. To be responsible for unlocking and locking of the public toilet facilities Post holder must be flexible and may be required to undertake work not listed above, such duties will however fall within the scope of the role. The post holder may also be required to unlock and lock the public toilet facilities.
Previous cleaning experience, good knowledge and understanding of COSHH, Health and Safety in the workplace, experience of working individually and as part of a wider team, Good understanding of manual handling and safe systems of work. Ability to work unsupervised and alone using own initiative.
General handyperson skills, First Aid qualification, Full clean UK driving License.
