Brent Building Control are pleased to announce that a fantastic opportunity has arisen through our new restructure for ambitious surveyors to join a successful and established team, based in our award-winning Civic Centre, with views of Wembley Stadium, Wembley Arena and with the London Designer Outlet all right next door.

This a tremendous opportunity for any ambitious Surveyors who want to develop their skills and gain invaluable experience working within our Major Projects Team and Domestic Surveying team, working alongside experienced Chartered Surveyors, Chattered Fire Engineers and Chartered Structural Engineers.

We have a wealth of exciting challenges for part qualified / qualified and experienced Building Control Surveyors to work within in our multi-disciplinary service ranging from Residential domestic work, Sports Stadia (Wembley Stadium) and new high rise domestic and office Tower Development’s, while working in a commercial environment.

The Post

Located right in the heart of the Wembley regeneration area and working throughout Brent (and across London with major developers / contractors on Partnership schemes), we require an additional three Building Control surveyors to supplement the existing Major Projects and District teams.

You will be responsible for assisting Senior and Principal Surveyors, delivering an effective Building Control service and providing helpful advice / guidance to our clients on various domestic, commercial, mixed-use and complex high-rise projects. This will be an excellent opportunity to build on your existing qualifications and experience working alongside Chartered Surveyors, Chartered Structural Engineers and Chartered Fire Engineers and supporting the Building Control Management Team.

The Person

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, flexible, forward thinking, ambitious and customer focussed surveyors with relevant Building Control knowledge and experience of dealing with Building Regulation applications at Plan Check and Site Inspection stages.

You will need to be an effective communicator with all stakeholders, technically sound with the ability to promote and represent the Building Control service.
Your main focus will be to support and assist the team in delivering projects on time, while ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and other statutory requirements.
The entry-level candidate should be qualified to degree level in a construction related degree or BTEC Higher qualification.

Interim grade appointments are based on experience.

Appointment to the highest scale will depend on you being professionally qualified to RICS, CABE or working towards a professional qualification. Any additional specialist qualification or ability to contribute to provision of additional services is desirable.
