Service Design Analyst

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic person to join our Technology Services Team supporting the technology requirements across the Council providing a professional and customer focused service.  This a great opportunity to help redesign Council services as part of our business and digital transformation programme.

The role will suit someone who has previous experience in a service design / analysis or similar role.  You will need excellent organisation skills, the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, along with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities will include:

Identifying and documenting requirements for service digital transformation

Support, maintain and improve existing systems, whether developed in house or third-party supplier

Advising colleagues on how processes can be optimised using digital technology

Assisting in the migration of systems to new solutions

Liaising with external suppliers as necessary


Technical Knowledge / Experience:

Experience of mapping processes and identifying improvements

Ability to design services to meet user needs

Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical colleagues and vice versa

Good written and verbal communication skills

Experience of a broad range of business applications

Keen to keep pace with changes in technology and to learn new technologies
