Twelve15 is a trading division of Surrey County Council, currently offering services to schools including catering and a school's equipment maintenance service. You will be joining the team at an exciting time as we seek opportunities to grow and develop traded services in new areas in Surrey and beyond. Currently with a work force of 1,200 employees, working in many sites across the County, you will need to be flexible on working times to suit the needs of the business and be able to travel as required.

Working within a small, yet dynamic and varied team environment, your focus will include key project work including change management and process improvements, supporting Team Twelve15 managers in all staff related matters and overseeing Health and Safety and wellbeing matters to ensure best practice is maintained for the organisation.

You will be using your specialist knowledge and expertise to enable the very best staff engagement programmes and support the management team to maximise the best performance outcomes across a diverse workforce.

You will have the ability to establish effective partnerships across the Council using a range of communication and facilitation skills to improve business performance. You will also enjoy being part of a team but equally confident in working independently.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, be a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) with experience in both a commercial and HR environment. You will need in-depth knowledge and understanding of emerging developments in the HR field, particularly employment legislation and equality and inclusion matters.

To be shortlisted to interview for this position your application will clearly evidence:

  • Experience of working within a successful HR team in a commercial environment
  • Knowledge of employment law and its practical application when managing risk in the work place
  • Experience of implementing HR processes and supporting operational managers in case work across key areas of HR
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of individuals at many levels across the organisation
  • An ability and attitude for positive change to enable and facilitate progress and growth
  • Flexibility to travel across the County and provide a service which fits the business profile
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, be a member of CIPD
  • IT and analytical experience including competency in all MS packages
