Affordable Housing Enabling and Projects Officer

Horsham District Council are looking for an Affordable Housing Enabling and Projects Officer to deliver upon the corporate objective to deliver affordable homes across our district. The post holder will provide the essential joint working between the housing and planning teams.

The Horsham District is proud of the work it does to deliver affordable homes to those households that need them and have a great track record of delivery. The Council achieves this through longstanding partnerships with Registered Providers and being proactive in its working practises.

The post holder will be required to seek and secure opportunities to increase the delivery of affordable housing through joint work within Council teams, Registered Providers, developers and Parish/Neighbourhood Councils. A further part of the role is to deliver projects within the wider housing team that will positively benefit our communities.

The post holder will be expected to work with a broad range of external organisations and partners to identify opportunities for delivery which make the Horsham District a safer and healthier place for all residents and communities.

To succeed as Affordable Housing Enabling and Projects Officer you will have a track record of partnership working to achieve outcomes within the housing sector. A person with good relationship management, communication, problem solving and organisational skills who is keen to make a difference is most important.
