Car Allowance - £846 - £1239 depending on car engine size.

Location – Haywards Heath

Contract – Fixed term for two years

Working – full time although part time options will be considered

Are you a good problem solver? Good with people? Mid Sussex are recruiting to an exciting new position in our well-respected Community Safety Team.

The Role

You will be an integral part of the Council’s Community Safety team helping communities across the District to resolve issues related to anti-social behaviour. In addition, you will play an active part in a wide of projects to prevent such issues arising in the first place. Working with a wide range of internal and external partners you will have the chance to work and build experience across different council workstreams.

We are looking for an Anti-Social Behaviour Support Officer to manage lower risk cases adopting an intelligence-led, problem solving approach, working with others where appropriate. You will also work closely with the team in ensuring that available tools, interventions and processes remain effective.

Part of the wider Communities, Policy and Performance Team, you will work closely with the Senior Anti-Social Behaviour officer who will provide supervision support and guidance and you will report directly to the Community Safety and Safeguarding Manager.

A self-starter with good organisational skills, you will have strong communication skills and be able to work calmly and effectively with individuals who may at times, present challenging behaviour. If you have previous experience of working with communities, ideally but not essentially, on anti-social behaviour issues and have experience of working in a partnership environment, and would like to be part of a busy, friendly team that makes a real difference to the lives of people in Mid Sussex then we want to hear from you.
