Salary Range: £26,999 - £38,813 pa (+ £1000 Welcome Payment)

Work alongside some of the sector’s most passionate professionals, as a Hertfordshire County Council Occupational Therapist.
The East and North Herts Older People Service provide support to older people and adults with dementia. We promote personalisation through our new assessment process focusing on the wellbeing of the individual. Through care planning we strive for increased independence, choice and control by offering personal budgets to enable people to direct their own support.
You will be working across both Princess Alexandra Hospital and Lister Hospital in line with the Discharge to Assess care pathway for people leaving hospital. There will also be aspects of Prevention of Admission work for people in the community across the East and North Herts area. We encourage smart working with the benefit of a laptop and smart phone so you have the flexibility to work at home or at one of our touchdowns.
Given the complex nature of this role we are looking for a HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with experience of working with people who have complex moving and handling needs, as well as older people and people with dementia. You will need to be a confident individual, capable of working independently with complex cases and enabling people to live independently in the community. You will conduct holistic assessments including minor and major adaptations, social care needs and will plan and care manage cases to achieve desired outcomes.
