An exciting role has opened in our small but highly impactful economic development service. We are looking for an economic development apprentice to work across a range of projects and initiatives. On a daily basis you could be helping to support the team by processing admin, assisting in procurement and writing business cases, answering business enquires, undertaking research and intelligence gathering.
As a small team you will get exposure to wide range of work, partners and projects. You will need to be adaptable, a great communicator and able to use your own judgement to solve problems and come up with innovative solutions.
Over the course of your apprenticeship, you’ll gain skills through on the job and formal training at college. Over time, you’ll take on more responsibility and accountability as your skills, knowledge and expertise increases.
We are keen to invest in the right candidate who shows the ability, potential, commitment and willingness to develop. This is a Level 4 apprenticeship and gives you the opportunity to learn while you earn.
You must have:
- Minimum of five GCSEs at A*– C / 9 - 5 (or equivalent) including Maths and English
- A Levels or NVQ/BTEC or HNC in a business/admin-related subject
- Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
