Lead Specialist - ICT

Guildford ICT Services are at the heart of the Council’s driver to transform services as part of our Future Guildford programme where technology will be a key enabler for the delivery of the Council’s strategies, digital enablement of services and value for money.

The Lead Specialist for ICT will play a critical role in shaping our technology strategies and supporting us through an ambitious programme of transformation. Alongside the management of the ICT teams, you will reinvigorate our core ICT services and infrastructure, providing stability and a platform for growth. Championing technology across our workforce, your leadership will ensure that our blend of functions combine to deliver high-performing, value for money ICT services.

In addition to holding relevant professional ICT qualifications.  It is essential that you have significant experience of leading an ICT function through change. You will have delivered measurable business outcomes through technology strategies and you will be able to point to a strong track record of innovation and improvement.  You will be an inspirational manager and adept at developing high performing teams, promoting continuous learning and sharing best practice, knowledge and expertise.

A Basic DBS check will be required for the successful applicant prior to appointment.
